Mediastinal Tumor
Expert surgical treatment for mediastinal tumors using advanced techniques
About Mediastinal Tumors
Mediastinum is defined as the thoracic space between two pleural spaces. The location of mass lesions in the mediastinum helps determine their likely nature and guides treatment planning. Sternotomy or thoracotomy is the traditional approach used for resection of mediastinal tumors. However, most benign mediastinal tumors and some malignant ones can now be approached by VATS.
